Performer - Singer
Born and raised in the Bronx, NY, Sophia is a talented songstress/songwriter ready to take the world by storm. Singing since she was little, Sophia has always been involved with music. Gospel was and still is where her singing roots lie. She grew up singing on the children’s choir, and later in her teen years joined the adult choir and the praise and worship team. Soon she began to gain the attention of the church members as she began to branch out.
Outside of church Sophia was involved with many local groups including: The Alliance, Renaissance E.M.S., MWAM (Music With A Message), 1 Voice Mass Choir, Committed, S.O.S. and others. She has done various shows such as: Love Jones NYC, R&B Nights, R&B Spotlight, Smoke Da Mic, and The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame and has even performed in such places as Disney Land, Six Flags, SOBS, BB Kings And Barclay Center. She has shared the stage with great talents such as: Chrisette Michele, Shirley Ceasar, Smokie Norful, Donald Lawerence, and Kat Stevens just to name a few.
Though she self-taught herself how to work her voice. Sophia attended Celia Cruz Bronx High School of Music, where she learned to train, shape and use her voice to her full ability. At Celia Cruz she traveled to various places with the school performing different genres of music.
Although her musical influences include Chrisette Michele, Whitney Houston, Brandy, Jazmine Sullivan, Jill Scott, Ledesi, Lalah Hathaway and many others, She states her mother is her biggest influence in all that she does and her reason for singing in the first place.
Sophia Danielle is currently in the studio working on her first solo project. She doesn’t expect to stop there. The best is yet to come.
